Audio Visual Requirements for Mark Sincevich’s Programs

I want to make sure that the audience is comfortable and connected with each other during my programs. In order to allow for this to happen, I need your help to set up the room for maximum effectiveness. Below are my requested policies and procedures.

1. Microphone: A wireless, lavaliere microphone or a lavaliere with a cord.

2. Projection:
Some of Mark’s programs require the use of a screen and a LCD projection unit. It is important that the screen be placed high enough above the stage or the speaking area so that the audience can comfortably view the projected photographs. The presentations are shown using Microsoft PowerPoint in a laptop computer connected to a portable projector.

3. Room Setup: I prefer rows of chairs that curve, facing the front. Classroom style is effective too. Everyone should be able to see without turning their head. Set-up staff should be instructed that each individual chair should face the podium. Contrary to popular belief, this curved-row format actually allows MORE chairs to fit in a room.

4. Podium: A podium should be provided if possible, along with plenty of water without ice. Mark will work in front or to the sides of the podium. Please make sure that the podium has a small light that is not visible by the audience as Mark will need to work from behind the podium on occasion.

5. Stage: An elevated stage or performance area is suggested for larger audiences during keynotes. However, most breakout sessions and training programs do not require the use of a stage.

6. Lighting: Lighting is important. It helps focus the audience’s attention and provides for a well-lit performance area. The speaking or podium area should be on a separate dimmer switch so that the lights can be turned down during the viewing of photographs.
